The Importance of Knowing Yourself

Why is it important to know yourself?

The process of knowing ourselves is the most basic thing that we must continue to do in life. Besides that, knowing ourselves can tell, ohh what we are like.... What are the things we don't like or like, and that's all so that we know what strengths in ourselves can be released when facing problems or when we are vulnerable... In the end we will more easily accept ourselves. Knowing yourself will also make us less jealous of the achievements of others. Because we all know that everyone has different characteristics. We will also understand that everyone will shine in their own place. If we can position ourselves, all of that can make us happier, content with the life we are living right now.

So what will happen if we don't know ourselves? This self will be more vulnerable when faced with problems. The heart will be more volatile and the emotions will be unstable, and so on. Well, these problems can be avoided by knowing yourself.

If there is a point where you start to lose your identity or don't recognize yourself and feel tired of the circumstances around you, it's okay to be silent for a moment. Next, do small things to yourself such as doing hobbies that we think are fun or by eating to get back in the mood again.

Then, the points that can be taken from this writing to get to know yourself more deeply are; Personality in different contexts, Strengths and weaknesses in order to better understand what must be developed and overcome weaknesses in order to avoid unwanted situations, Values adopted, Your body (Must be fair to your body, for example you are too ambitious but neglect your health) Ambition must be appropriate with the condition of the body, and lastly Know your life goals or priorities (because the world is constantly evolving and the process of self-knowledge must be carried out every day, for example by self journaling or writing down everything that is on your mind and then analyzing it)

Therefore, by trying to provide self-reward in the form of doing things that you enjoy. Can be a good moment to rest physically and mentally.

Self-reward doesn't always have to be done when you've just achieved something big in your life. You can also do it when you have a good day, for example, when you get praise for what you have achieved or when you get a good score on an exam, and so on. In addition, self-reward also does not have to be done lavishly or at a high cost. The most important thing is that self-rewarding can make you happier.
