Karma in Islamic View

What Is karma? Karma is understood as the recompense of actions in the present. If according to Buddhism, karma is the law of cause and effect, what you are doing right now will have an effect or have an effect. Often karma is understood as a negative thing, when you do something unpleasant, there will be a reward. It's not completely wrong, but it's not 100% right either. Like its basic meaning, karma is the result of actions. When you do evil, there will be consequences for you to accept from your evil actions, which are usually unpleasant. However, when you do good, there are also things that you will receive, as a result of your good deeds.

However, in Islam there is no term karma. In Islam, what we get now cannot be seen as karma from actions in the past. Because, it is unseen or only Allah SWT knows. For example, if a person is hit by a very serious disaster, one cannot immediately assume that it is karma for an action he or she has committed. The reason is, it could be that it is a test given by Allah SWT. Therefore, it can be said that the law of cause and effect is supernatural and only Allah knows best. Guessing about the unseen is actually a big sin of shirk.

Islamic teachings also recognize the doctrine of cause and effect like karma. Islam teaches that good deeds will result in good and bad behavior will result in bad too. The consequences of human actions can sometimes even be felt in the world while still alive, even though it is actually a divine secret. This is certainly similar to karma. Thus, many believe that the majority of the rewards for our actions in this world will occur in the afterlife, in the afterlife and after the end of the world.

There is a quote from Buya Yahya, he said "We have the belief that there is hell and heaven, those who do good will get heaven and those who do bad will get Allah's hell. We also believe in Allah's forgiveness but we don't need to talk in terms of karma because there is no term karma, because this is a special term with their beliefs. Let's just let our brothers who have other religions believe it, that's their business. We also do not denounce other people's religious affairs. We are talking about the religion of Islam. There is no term karma. We commit sins that God can forgive us, we make mistakes and apologize and are forgiven. There is no karma, there is only a reward from Allah SWT. So, don't focus on karma, because you should focus more on doing good.
